Charities
An important part of the Kroll's Diner Bismarck Marathon's mission is to support local charities. Each year the marathon committee selects up to four charities to support.
2010 Kroll's Diner Bismarck Marathon charitable organizations:
- Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Bismarck/Mandan
Helps children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationships with area adults. - YMCA Strong Kids
Donations to the Strong Kids Campaign allow the YMCA to provide membership and program assistance to kids and families who might not otherwise be able to afford to pay for YMCA services. - Charles Hall Youth Services
Serves foster care youth needing to live in a safe, stable and nurturing environment. - ALS Association
A non-profit voluntary health organization dedicated to fighting ALS, also known as “Lou Gehrig’s disease, a progressive disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
